A landfill, or
dump, is a site for the disposal of waste materials by burial.
A transfer station
is a building for the temporary deposit and storage of recycling and
waste material. Transfer stations are often used as places
where local residents and garabage trucks will
deposit their
contents prior to loading into larger vehicles for transport to a
landfill.
Junk Removal companies typically will
haul
away all kinds of household items, including furniture, mattresses,
couches, sofas, dressers, etc., and most will also remove renovation
materials such as drywall, gyproc, waste wood, bathtubs, tiles and even
toilets. Some junk removal companies specialize in roofing or
construction waste removal. These companies typically drop off bins
(also known as skips) at the job site and come back to pick them up
once they have been loaded.
To get the best price when hiring junk
removal, call two or three different companies for phone estimates and
ask if you get a reduced rate for having all of your junk outside,
ready to load.
Make sure the junk removal company you
are hiring is insured and licensed.
